His cousin ran a hip hop station and brought him into the studio during sessions. An uncle is a world class musician with a fan base in cities throughout the country. Lake Street Louie was performing on stage with his uncle from the age of six. The rap/hip hop artist studied guitar, piano, and vocals as a child but says he has always liked vocals the best. When he was younger, he says he didn’t always appreciate classical music. But, today, he is grateful for the exposure to many musical genres, which is says influences his music.
