Superstar DJ Ros
Party Rocker. Remixer. Writer. Mixshow Producer. Passport Presenter. Club Go-To Guy. Dance Floor Destroyer.
Born in Brooklyn NY, Superstar DJ ROS began a love affair with music of all types while sneaking and playing with his dad's expansive vinyl collection as a child. Taking a cue from the elder DJ in the family, ROS spent every free moment, when not studying or playing football, practicing cuts & blends. Soon enough, he was skilled to be invited to spin at every party thrown at elementary schools in the city…all by age of 10.
After the family relocated to Virginia, ROS battled the gloom of being the new kid in town by ‘battling’ double copies of Peter Piper on his makeshift bedroom DJ set. These marathon sessions helped him develop many of the techniques used to tear down clubs around the world to this day.
As ROS continued to hone his performance style and make a name for himself on the local club scene, the accolades continued to pile up. Resident DJ at legendary Virginia nightclub Nostalgia, youngest PD/MD of a commercial radio station (WTOY) in Virginia history, EMI recording artist at the age of 20, etc. There was no entertainment industry challenge that ROS could not take on and conquer. Soon, he was invited to perform with several top rap and R&B stars in coliseums and major venues all over the United States.
Following extended stints in Hollywood & relocation to nightlife hotbed, Atlanta GA, ROS has continued to turn up the heat. Monthly & weekly residences/appearances at some of the nation’s hottest nightclubs and ultra lounges such as Door 44, Opera, Tongue & Groove, MOOD Lounge, Aiko, Sutra, Primal, LAX, REIGN, Geisha House, AJA, Havana Club, B.E.D., Lotus Lounge, the famed Playboy Mansion, and several international venues such as Fiction (Goiania), Infinity (Moscow) and Womb (Tokyo) have only added to his reputation as a world class party rocker.
Even after a 15 year career at the top of his game, ROS still finds new lanes to explore and new genres to incorporate into his repertoire. Books, an artist album/ graphic novel, a DJ kids camp, and new music documentary are a few of the incredible projects on deck for 2013 and beyond.
