Dj Chiavistelli, birthname Simone Chiavistelli, was born on July 10th 1974 in Cecina, a sunny town by the sea, about 30 km from Livorno. At home he keeps a fascinating collection of records that betrays a passion for music that bloomed at a very young age. His passion for dj’ing and dance goes back to the second half of the ’80s, thanks to legendary artists such as Run DMC, Public Enemy, Beastie Boys, MAARS, Depeche Mode, Kraftwerk, Frankie Knuckles, Steve ‘’Silk’’ Hurley, Marshall Jefferson, S-Expresse and many others. The first parties are dated 1989, and he recalls with pleasure and nostalgia the first records he played like ‘Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance)’ by C&C Music Factory, ‘The Power’ by Snap!, ‘French Kiss’ by Lil Louis, ‘Rich in Paradise’ by FPI Project and ‘Gypsy Woman’ by Crystal Waters.
