Doug Cash - Beyond

Doug Cash “ The acoustic Rock Onslaught “

Singer, songwriter, musician, arranger, producer, performer.

President of  Pryor 2 What ? Records, owner of Pryor 2 What ? Music Publishing.

Heavily influenced by Sly & the Family Stone, Beatles, James Brown, Led Zeppelin, Weather Report, Joni Mitchell, Stevie Wonder, Paul Simon and Yes.

Raised on Big band ( Basie, Ellington, Miller, Goodman) and bebop ( Charlie Parker, Dizzy Gillespie,Thelonious Monk ) I was groovin' with the muse before I could walk.

From Louis Armstrong to Kate Bush, my tastes and influences are wide and varied.

While still in high school, in northern California, I joined the band ( Technical Force ) and headed to Los Angeles to pound the pavement and to ink the elusive record deal.

After a four year stint as bassist, songwriter, arranger and back up vocalist, I started producing my own projects, while working full time, playing gigs and raising a family.

In the 90s, I came back to Norcal to hit the local Sacramento scene, play gigs, produce in the studio for myself and other local artists.

I signed with local indie Subgroove Records, played at Tower Corporate for the international buyers and was internationally distributed.

In 2000, I started my own label and publishing company. I produce, record, and edit video locally at EME Studios.

The artists on the Pryor 2 What ? Records label: Doug Cash, Jefferson Davis, Dizzy Miles, Psycho Craig, Highbone, Cash/Davis, Def & Row, Killhippie, Lindsay Marie, Sunday School, Mark Petrie, Uncle Frank, Shaggy Dre, Lou Jones, Booka, Renegade Jazz.

I'm happy to be working with Dickie Goodman Productions, EDA Records, Skope Magazine and Music Xray.

My music is available at itunes, cdbaby, reverb nation, soundcloud and all digital outlets.

I’m featured internationally on independent stations through Jango Radio Airplay.
