Inspired
by CeCe Winans, Lotonia Adams-Askew is a singer/ songwriter who comes
to this gospel music industry with her first album, Showers of Rain.
This album is a collection of God-given healing songs birthed after
the loss of her son- Daniel. Showers
of Rain was designed to comfort those who are hurting due to a loss
of a loved one, loss of a marriage, loss of a career, a loss of
health, and etc . This album will shower listeners with the peace of
God and hope. Chains of heaviness will be destroyed, broken hearts
amended, bow down heads uplifted, and every wounded heart encouraged
and strengthened. The oil of joy, the oil of laughter, and the
garment of praise will be released upon listeners. Her
soothing voice will touch hurting hearts of many as she convey His
message of peace and restoration.
Lotonia
Adams-Askew of Nashville, Tn. is a singer/ songwriter who began her
musical career when she was in the children choir at her childhood
church, Greater Harvest Church of God In Christ in Memphis, TN,
formerly under the leadership of Bishop Lee Ward. As a teenager, she
began taking piano lesson which allowed her to compose music to some
of her Praise and Worship songs, not yet recorded. As years
continued, Lotonia started singing with her sisters and cousins in a
group formed by her oldest brother, Ben. When she left for college,
she found herself traveling and singing and assisting others in the
studio and church more and more. Whether it’s through leading
praise and worship, or singing background, she brings glory and honor
to God.
Lotonia
has used her God-given voice for years to bless the hearts of many.
She comes not with a competitive edge but with the anointing to
confront the hurt, pain, doubt, and fear that challenge so many in
the church and in society. Lotonia has been given a special mantle
that empowers her to bring encouragement and victory in the lives of
many who listen to her anointed voice. Her primary purpose for this
healing album, Showers of Rain, is that yokes be destroyed, chains
broken, bodies healed, souls delivered and a garment of praise be
manifested.
